The intricate and data-heavy genome mapping research demanded a high-powered hardware solution that provided for the necessary processing power to sequence billions of data points aligned with a shared memory.
IU came to Matrix searching for the supercomputing muscle it needed, and we delivered a multi-core technology that allowed their scientists to run their meta-genome sequencing through a single node. This not only provided the horsepower necessary to handle the data but also reduced data latency, troubleshooting time and overall costs.
