The University of Utah’s cloud lab empowers cloud innovation with Matrix Integration.
Looking for ways to further revolutionize cloud technology and provide an environment where researchers and educators could create their own personal clouds, the University of Utah School of Computing wanted to essentially reprogram their cloud’s network behavior through software-defined networking.
Matrix worked with the university to install selected packages of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Gen 9 servers, Comware switches and the Moonshot platform. These best-fit technologies allow the University of Utah’s School of Computing to create a unique and innovative learning environment that provides the school with next-gen capabilities for their students.
Matrix’s relationship with the academic community and Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s resources give the school a combination of personalized service and the right technology solutions to create a flexible scientific and research environment to help develop the future of cloud computing and research infrastructure.
“HP and Matrix Integration really are the best of both worlds of working with a small, focused integration team and a large organization that really has the portfolio of all the products put together to build the platforms that we want to run on. This is a great path for us to get to be where we want to be in the future with our computing environment.”
