2015 was a year of continued improvements to the virtual desktop.
One great new feature is Nvidia GRID vGPU support on VMware Horizon View.
Bringing full shared 3D acceleration, vGPU technology provides unrestricted access to any application on any device.
Recently arrived version 2.0 hardware bring double the capability of the original K1 and K2 cards, but it also brings a new license requirement. Licensing is per connection on a scaling price structure based on vGPU Profile.
Though another virtual desktop license may be unwelcome, the cost savings it allows and performance of the new hardware are well worth considering.
