Clark County REMC
Clark County Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) was incorporated in 1939 to provide electricity to members in the counties of Clark, Floyd, Scott, Jefferson and Washington in Southern Indiana. They provide service to over 22,000 members.
Like most Utilities, Clark County REMC is in an “always on” position. Downtime is not an option, and cyberattacks could not be permitted to turn the lights off for their customers. Protecting their power grid is first priority.
Matrix Integration provided additional layers of security through Network Infrastructure Security and Network Access Controls, protecting Clark County REMC from threats both internally and externally. We installed best of breed tools that gave them actionable data and the tools they need to interpret that data.
Matrix Integration understands utilities, which means we work around the weather forecasts to minimize risks. If we are scheduled to work on an infrastructure and there’s a storm on the horizon, we plan around maintenance windows to make sure Clark County REMC is protected against outages when their customers need them most.
Matrix Security is like a utility – it’s always on.
