Pediatric HeartCare Partners.

Pediatric HeartCare Partners (PHCP) is the only independent group of pediatric cardiologists in Louisville, Kentucky. Serving hundreds of families throughout eight locations in Kentucky and Indiana, the practice handles every aspect of diagnostic and ongoing pediatric heart care in-house, without requiring patients to go to the hospital.

Like every small business, PHCP was looking for ways to lower costs, including their ever-increasing bill for technology support. For years they had worked with a provider who had set up and managed their technology needs, but over time, the provider became less involved, to the point where PHCP was not advised on critical upgrades and improvements that would greatly help the practice.

In addition, PHCP had some very specific business goals, which included establishing fully implemented electronic medical records, increasing the practice’s footprint to allow more time for patients, and improving interaction with patients via communications, scheduling and follow ups.

To help PHCP get back up to speed and achieve their goals, Matrix Integration and PHCP worked together to customize a MiAssurance agreement – an ongoing service arrangement that essentially gives any business the services of a fully functioning IT department at their fingertips for a set monthly cost.

In addition to proactive consulting and network monitoring, the agreement also included a hardware-as-a-service component, so that Matrix Integration could begin the management and upgrading of the practice’s data to a new system, allowing PHCP to continue to focus on their patients’ needs.

By implementing Matrix Integration’s MiAssurance and hardware-as-a-service solutions, PHCP will be reducing their IT service cost by 23 percent annually over the next several years. In addition, the MiAssurance and hardware-as-a-service platform was built to provide the support, stability, and longevity to make PHCP’s transition to an electronic medical record system a reality.
